As a coach, I hold a vision of you as your most fulfilled, happiest and most empowered self. I provide a consistent, safe place for you to talk about what you want to create and work through what holds you back. You do most of the talking- I help you find your own best answers and ways forward. I may challenge you, make a request or leave you with an inquiry question to explore, all in the interests of forwarding your action and deepening your learning. Together we co-create a coaching relationship that is most effective for you.

Why is Coaching So Effective?
Short Answer- it’s neuroscience!
Thoughts happen when nerve fibers in the brain fire and make connections. The brain prefers to use established neural pathways, thus conserving valuable resources. These mental habits become more and more ingrained over time.
Coaching stimulates you to think about yourself and the world in new ways, thereby creating new pathways in the brain. This unleashes your creativity and you can have deeper insights, access inner resources, and release limiting beliefs.
Then you have the energy to create and carry out realistic, effective action plans. Knowing you will discuss your progress at your next coaching session keeps you accountable to your goals.
How do we connect?
Coaching takes place by phone or in my Zoom videoconference room, usually once every two weeks, for about 45 minutes per session.
How long does coaching continue?
For 1-2 goals, a commitment of 3 months is most effective. This gives you time to feel the excitement of beginning your project, and see some real movement forward. A time commitment helps you keep going through some of the roadblocks you may encounter along the way.
For major goals, a commitment of 6 months is more realistic and will really support you.
We can continue on a month-to-month basis for as long as coaching continues to serve you.
Once we’ve coached together and completed, if something new comes up or you’re looking for a tune-up, we can meet for 1-3 sessions.
You take the actions that move you toward your goal. This could be inner work or action steps. I’m available to offer support by email during regular office hours.
What is the difference between coaching and counseling/therapy or consulting?
Therapy looks to the past to engage clients in an emotional healing process which is experienced as an increase in function or mental health in the present.
A consultant shares expertise in an area of specialty and makes specific recommendations.
Coaching meets you where you are today and moves toward the specific goals you want to achieve in the foreseeable future. Coaching engages your own strengths and experience, believes you have your best answers within you, assumes you are creative, resourceful and whole and are fully capable of making the changes you envision for yourself.
